Getting to Thassos island
Thassos is only accessible by ferry boat and has two ports, Skala Prinos and Limenas (Thassos Town) which are serviced from Kavala and Keramoti on the mainland.
From Kavala
You can reach Kavala by your own vehicle or by bus. Kavala is 150 km away from Thessaloniki, about 2 hour drive. From the port of Kavala, by ferry boat, you will reach the port of Prinos. This is a route which lasts for 1.15 hrs. and there are 3-5 daily routes. From Prinos, by bus or by your own vehicle, you head to Limenaria which is 23 km away. Turning to the inner part of the island, in a distance of 900 m. you will find Studios Meni.
From Keramoti
You can reach Keramoti by your own vehicle or by bus. Keramoti is located 39 km east of Kavala. From Keramoti you can take the ferry boat to get to the port of Limenas, which is the capital of Thassos. This is a route which last 30 minutes. There are plenty of daily routes made. From Limenas, by bus or by your own vehicle, you head to Limenaria which is 40 km away. Turning to the inner part of the island, in a distance of 900 m. you will find Studios Meni.
By airplane
The closest airport to Thassos is Kavala Airport (Megas Alexandros Airport) which is close to Chrisoupolis just 17 km’s from the port of Keramoti. There is an all year round daily service to Athens and during the summer hosts charter flights from all over Europe.
